Ok...So my doc is out of town (go figure), but I went for prenatal testing and an exam with the nurse practitioner taking calls for my doctor. Prenatal testing went well...heartrate normal, only one contraction, and fluid normal range. When I went to the nurse practitioner...she confirmed...still 3 cms dilated and still 75% effaced. She said it was highly likely that I would make it to the first, but she thinks not much after that. Who knows...these babies have a mind of their own!

Went to the doctor today for my 36 week exam. Did the GBS test and while he was "down there" he checked to see if I was dilated at all, since I have been having contractions for about a week. Well....much to my amazement...we are 3 cms dilated and 75 % effaced. Um...one small problem. I am not elligible to get short term disability benefits until after the 1st! How am I going to hold this baby in? Well...on top of the fact that Kaitlyn's new room is coming along, but it won't be ready for an early arrival by this baby! Augh! So much work to do!

WOW...I feel much better now. So...trying to keep the only two eyes that I have working well, I decided to (for once) abide by the unwritten "law" that you are supposed to change your mascara every three months. Okay...so I head to the drugstore. I used to be a Maybelline Great Lash wearer, but recently purchased Cover Girl Lash Exact because it was buy one, get one free. Well...the day had come to replace to Cover Girl mascara. It worked "ok", but I was looking for thicker lashes. So...I decide to give Maybelline Great Lash "Extreme Black" a try. We are on a pretty tight budget, and for under $5, it fit! I didn't try it until the next day...and I noticed my eyes dry and itchy by the early afternoon. By evening, wen I went to remove my make-up, I realized that most of the mascara had flaked off...now...I have been napping in the afternoon with this pregnancy, so I assumed that my mascara went the way of the pillow during naptime. Yesterday, I decided that I would buy a new mascara, because I was not happy with the results, but I had previously thrown away the Cover Girl...so, I put a coat of the Maybelline Great Lash on my upper lashes only and headed out for the day of errands. By the time we came home for naptime, about 3 hours later, I was ready to scratch my eyes out of my head! I immediately cleaned off the mascara and went about the rest of the day. This morning my eyes were swollen shut. Yep...completely swollen, top and bottom lids. For about an hour this morning, I have exposed my face to cold compresses in the hopes of reducing the swelling...I can at least see this computer screen, but I want to kick someone's ass at Maybelline. I am beginning to think that I don't even want to put the new Cover Girl Lash Volume mascara on my eyes, and I might want to travel to the Clinique counter for good mascara...if this is what I get for trying to stay in a budget...the $20 co-pay for the eye doctor visit, and the $50 eye drops for this infection cost way more than the $25 tube of "expensive" mascara. Well, hopefully this clears up before this evening, otherwise Frankie will have to visit his friends alone...I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE LIKE THIS!

I have not been keeping up with this as I should! It has been an absolutely CRAZY weekend. I kept Alex home Friday due to a diarhea diaper on the way to daycare. Good thing, he was able to take a good 2 hour nap before spending the ENTIRE night throwing up! He still has fever on Saturday, and due to my lack of sleep Friday night, I spent just as much time in bed as Alex. Sunday we were supposed to goto Jessica's shower, however, due to my not knowing if I was a carrier to this throw-up, I opted to stay home, and Alex and I napped before the circus. We went to the circus for 5pm, and had a blast! Thanks MeMe and Poppy! Then we had a not so nice experience at Byblos (server sucked and manager sucked even more). Soon we were home and it was quick to bath/bedtime routine. Frank picked up Julie and Matt from the airport coming in frm their honeymoon late, so I fell asleep. I hope this week is much better...
